I'm a member on quite a few webmaster forums, and I always see people making threads asking how to get high PR/Alexa, and how people are trying to focus on raising both of them, when instead they could've been bringing in targetted traffic. It just makes no sense to me.... backlinks should be used to gain higher SERPs and sometimes bring in bits of traffic, not to gain PR or raise in Alexa.
