I agree with your post. Reputation management is so important and blogging is a great outlet. The saying “Any press is good press” is not true. It’s very important, especially for businesses, to keep information relevant and accessible. Blogging reaches a huge audience in a short amount of time. I work for an advertising agency that believes in this theory and the results are fantastic. I don’t need to remove my name from google because I have no bad info lying around out there but I want to promote my company. I am terrible at writing, so I hire people to write for me. People will not buy your products, or products you recommend, if they don’t know who you are. Build up a rapor with your forum members, help out, offer advice and assistance for free, offer free guides, tools, etc., anything to get you off the ground.
